My Interests

I enjoy reading; I particularly enjoy reading classic novels and comparing them to more modern novels. I like writing poetry and have entered the poetry rivals competition several times and have had my poems published.

I am very creative and spend lots of my free time baking, doing arts and crafts and playing music. I play the guitar, the clarinet and some piano I would love to be able to play more instruments and I feel that playing music really helped my development as a child. I often make gifts for people, normally beaded jewellery, bath fizzers, soap or cakes.

I took part in a week long creative employment training program at the Holts Academy in London in August 2013 and I reached the Semi-Finals of the Le Cordon Bleu scholarship competition 2013.

I also really enjoy visiting manor houses and museums and I am really interested in the way that the buildings, their decorations and their furniture has changed and developed over time, and the history held in each item, in each room.

I speak some basic French, I am computer literate. I have had experience of sounds right phonics and have carried out literacy, numeracy, phonics and handwriting precision teaching. I have been trained in the Read Write Inc Phonics program.
