About Me
My name is Sally, I live in the rural outskirts of the historic town of Faversham and I have been working with children since the age of 18, mostly within the education sector but I have also been babysitting. I am registered with Ofsted as a home childcarer (Nanny). I am a happy, bubbly and a very patient person who feels that the most important things about working with children is to ensure that they are safe, healthy and happy.

Having lived in the countryside for most of my life, I am not afraid of a bit of hard work, a bit of mud and mess that so often comes with working with children and being in the great outdoors. I think it is important for children to see the world around them and learn about the things they see daily, like where their food comes from and how we can support our local environment.

I think it is important for children to experience as many different activities and opportunities as possible to help them to develop a sense of who they are and what they enjoy. I am very creative and spend much of my free time making and baking things from birthday cards and hand lotions to cakes and sewing. I try to use my creativity as much as I can within my day to day work to encourage the children’s creativity, aid their sensory development and build skills that will help them throughout their lives.

I also enjoy reading and have a passion for learning. I think that a good education is important but may only be achievable if children find learning enjoyable: I feel that by sharing stories, knowledge and learning together we give children a good foundation for their interests and knowledge to grow. As education is such a huge part of childhood, to allow children to reach their full potential and become happy, confident and well-rounded individuals, it is crucial that they enjoy their time at nursey or school and that they are fully supported at home.
